Adrienne Rusk
We got together with Adrienne Rusk at Union Station in downtown L.A. Before each portrait photography job we initially discuss the project along with an overall theme with the customer.
Depending on the job and overall scope of the project this may include locking down multiple locations for shooting along with creating a running sheet for the day.
I try and take on jobs that do not require a lot of logistical framework to be implemented.
Our style of photography especially when it comes to portrait photography involves a location and the subject. Once we figure that out then the rest usually falls into place.
Depending on the budget and time for the overall project scouting can be factored into the job. This allows us to find the best possible places to shoot in a specific location.
For this job with Adrienne we utilized smaller compact film cameras using a few different formats in Kodak film. We used 32oo b&w film along with a medium format colour film.
A few imperfections like dust and particles of hair can be seen on some of the b&w images from when we scanned the film.
