Bellevue courthouse wedding
I was contacted to photograph Yushan + Steven’s Bellevue courthouse wedding.
I grew up in Seattle and so I thought I’ve seen pretty every little nook and cranny of this beautiful part of the northwest but I was mistaken.
The Bellevue Courthouse was one of those places that was pretty much off my radar. Sure enough as soon as I pulled it up on google maps I had that a hah moment.
Right next to my Grandma’s house. That is really convenient. And yes I did go see her before I photographed the courthouse wedding.
Tucked between 405 and I-90 the Bellevue Courthouse is nestled in apart of town that is still reminiscent of the old days.
Once you make the turn off of S.E 8th and you start driving back we went over a little bridge that takes you over the Mercer Slew.
The vegetation back here is wild and crazy full of life and spilling out in all directions. The feeling and emotion of a courthouse wedding is much different then the traditional ceremony.
We arrived early to do some scouting and as we were waiting newlyweds were coming down the stairs fresh from saying I do.
I just have to say that Yushan and Steven were so adorable and in so much love.
They were accompanied by a few family members and friends to witness this special time of their lives.
This makes the experience so much more intimate to photograph.
After the ceremony we took a walk around the courthouse to a nice little field and got some images of Yushan + Steven reveling in this special moment.
I just want to say thanks to these two newlyweds for hiring me to photograph their special courthouse wedding here in Bellevue, Washington.
Also just want to thank Talitha for coming along and taking a few snaps with me as well.
