Fitzroy Gardens

I had a portrait session the other day at Fitzroy Gardens which is situated close to
downtown Melbourne for all you people out there who don’t know where that is.
I often find myself becoming immersed in creating a series of images. It helps bring a certain mood and feeling out of a location. 
For this particular series of images that I took with Mei I wanted to create portraits at Fitzroy Gardens using the fauna and lush colors.  For me having such a beautiful park within the city is inspiring.  To be able to steal away for an hour or two is a wonderful.

When I photograph a subject for portraits I take at least a day or two to put together the edit from the shoot gathering inspiration as I go along.  Depending on where I am I usually take a few walks the day after the shoot adding elements and images that I see and capture not just from the location of the portrait session but from the surrounding area as well.
