Intimate Beach Wedding
Tess + Marty had their intimate beach wedding on Phillip Island a few weeks back. Tess and I met up before the ceremony at the beautiful Trenavin estate for a pre-wedding photo shoot. We took some incredible bridal portraits, along with some photos of the bridesmaids, before heading over to the Rhyll Trout Farm for the main event.
They initially planned to have the wedding at Trenavin, but due to the weather forecast changed the venue at the last minute!
Instead of the crazy rain storm we expected, we were welcomed by the heat that often comes before a big storm (this one was due in later that night.)
Rhyll Trout Farm was a perfect setting for Tess and Marty’s ceremony and reception. On the premises is a large enclosed pool area. I must say I was very impressed, and grateful to have a place to get out of the sun.
The natural light coming in was amazing to work with. The atmosphere was perfect inside the enclosed area. It had an eclectic feel to it, with seating spread out with games. Not to mention the garden area as well, which was beautiful.
We dipped off to the beach to take some beach wedding photos with the bride and groom, along with the bridal party. One great thing about it being so hot, was that Tess pretty much ran into the ocean to cool down. That gave me a great chance to get some unique ocean wedding pictures to add to the album.
The evening was super chill with games and food to nibble on, and everyone had a great time.
I just want to thank Tess + Marty for having me photograph their wedding. Weddings in Australia are some of my favorites, and this one was especially memorable.
