Even though it was only for a few days it’s always worth making it over to Priest Lake. This special place has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of these images are of the surrounding area of Priest Lake. We hiked up to Hunt Lake which is a beautiful and cold glacier lake up in the mountains. To reach the lake you have to hike along massive granite boulders for about an hour. Its a scramble and you have to be careful as some of them move! During the fall days the weather is never the same. Massive storms come rolling in from the north bringing rain, hail and thunderstorms. Staying on the southern side of the lake proves to be beneficial. You can watch the coming storms role in. Also you can watch the sun setting from the dock as it makes its way over the horizon for the last bit of light. Priest Lake is definitely a special place and I look forward to the chance to make our way back very soon.
